Under Settings > Communication, you decide which side panels appear in the live room. Defaults are set per event; every session inherits them.
Chat
Toggle Chat enabled to let viewers and presenters chat during the session.
When chat is enabled, pick how messages are shared under Who sees messages:
- Open - viewers see each other: every viewer's message is visible to everyone in the room.
- Presenters only - viewer messages hidden from other viewers: viewers can still send messages, but only presenters see them. Useful for large audiences where the chat would otherwise be noisy.
Presenters always see every message regardless of the setting.
Questions
Toggle Q&A enabled to let viewers ask questions for presenters to answer.
When Q&A is enabled, pick visibility under Who sees questions:
- Open - viewers see all questions: every question is visible to every viewer the moment it's submitted.
- Presenters only - viewer questions hidden from other viewers: viewers see only their own questions until a presenter answers.
In both modes, answered questions are always shown to everyone - the visibility setting only affects questions still in the queue.
People tab
Toggle Viewers can see the People tab to give attendees a list of who else is in the room. Off by default.
Save
Save the page when the toggles are set the way you want. Changes apply to every session under the event.
